This Privacy Policy explains how TradeEasy collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who We Are
TradeEasy is the data controller for our users' personal data. Contact: hello@tradeeasy.app
2. What Data We Collect
Account data: name, email, business name, phone, address, logo, payment info via Stripe.
Client data you enter: names, addresses, phones, emails, job history.
Usage data: IP address, device type, pages visited, login times, error logs.
Essential cookies only for session management — no advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Data
To provide the service, process payments, send account notifications, send quote accepted or declined notifications, respond to support requests, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
4. Legal Basis
Contract to provide the service. Legitimate interests to improve security. Legal obligation to comply with UK law.
5. How We Share Your Data
Only with: Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery. No other third parties without consent.
6. Client Data & Shareable Links
Shareable links are publicly accessible. You are responsible as data controller for ensuring clients are aware their details may appear on shared links.
7. Data Storage & Security
Stored on Supabase servers in the EEA. Protected by HTTPS encryption, data at rest encryption, secure password hashing, row-level security, and regular monitoring.
8. Data Retention
Retained while account is active. On closure: 30 days then permanently deleted. Payment records kept 7 years for HMRC compliance.
9. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object. Contact hello@tradeeasy.app to exercise rights. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
10. Children
Not intended for under 18s.
11. Changes
14 days email notice before significant changes. Latest version always at tradeeasy.app/privacy.
